Irish Freight Solutions has won the prestigious People Development Award at the Logistics Leadership Awards presented at a Gala Dinner in front of nearly 300 senior logistics and supply chain professionals in Stratford-upon-Avon recently.

The judges were particularly impressed by a small company using team building to not only double turnover in a year but also maintain excellent profit levels over three times the industry average.

The work managing Director James Wood has put in, creating a personal development plan for each member of the team, leaves them highly motivated allowing them to see the vision of the business and the part they play in its success.

All the team work hard and are on recognised BIFA apprenticeships and additional Chamber of Commerce management modules, in time taken out of the working week. 

The judges felt that the people development strategies James has implemented at IFS are world class. They were impressed he is involved to ensure they keep going to make the whole IFS team the best version of themselves – including himself.
