About Clare Bottle

Clare Bottle FCILT is CEO of the UK Warehousing Association and Vice-Chair of Women in Logistics UK. As head of UKWA, a leading trade association with 1,000 members, Clare has pursued an agenda of economic, social and environmental sustainability, as well as driving diversity and inclusion.

She advises the Government on the benefits and barriers of solar power on warehouse rooftops, and is spearheading ‘2024 The Year of Warehousing,’ a bold initiative to build awareness and recognition of the sector as a crucial part of supply chains and a major contributor to the UK economy.

Sharon O’Connor, Head of Compliance, Nene Warehouse Solutions

With 30+ years of leadership and credentials (MSc in Environmental Management, FIEMA, FIIRSM, FCILT, FIFT), Sharon leads in environmental, safety, and audit programmes. Leveraging her global radio presence, public speaking, including competition judging, and SEMLEP Business Ambassador role, she champions efficiency and mentors in sustainability. Her work in embedding compliance frameworks and CDM regulations across key sectors—government, warehousing, manufacturing, property—underscores her commitment to sustainability. Sharon summarises her mission: to propel businesses and individuals towards responsible, green practices.

Marie Hamblin

Following her recent accreditation From Cambridge University, with a short course in Business Sustainability Management, this helped provide context and supported the work Marie was involved with during her time at Deloitte, helping businesses explore and understand routes to circularity. Because she held a leadership role in technology, a holistic understanding of the circular economy was required to channel conversations to the appropriate stakeholder. Deloitte's offering is diverse, helping businesses from regulatory considerations to operational impacts, and this is what interests Marie: innovations that support enable and redefine retail to think circular first.

Priya Patel

Priya is a Health and Safety Consultant at AtkinsRéalis providing Principal Designer and CDM Advisory within the construction industry. Her role involves overseeing the design process to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations/ CDM 2015 Regulations and best practices. Having been with AtkinsRéalis for 4.5 years, Priya has been involved in a range if projects varying scales and complexities. From initial concept development to project completion, she works closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to integrate health and safety considerations seamlessly into the design and construction processes. Part of her role is to identify and mitigate potential risks early on and facilitate smoother project delivery.
